Thank you for considering our products. We grow a line of the freshest, certified organic, GMO-free sprouts and mushrooms in our region. Our products are grown and processed in VIHA certified facilities and harvested fresh for delivery. We offer wholesale prices on sprout and mushroom orders larger than 5lbs. A small surcharge will be added to pre-packaged sprouts (in clamshells or bags).
Deliveries:
Salt Spring Island: All deliveries are made year round on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Victoria: All deliveries are made year round on Wednesdays. Saturdays can be an option when extra sprouts are needed.
Cowichan: All deliveries are made on Saturdays year round.
Pea Shoots
Our most popular sprout! Long and succulent bright green pea shoots keep fresh and moist. They add substance, flavor and beauty to any salad, or a gorgeous garnish to any plate. Pea shoots make an excellent, locally produced substitute for salad mix in the winter. Especially high in vitamin A, C, and folic acid.
Sunflower Sprouts
These sprouts are nutty, juicy and substantial. A fantastic garnish or addition to any salad, wrap, sandwich or entrée. Sunflower sprouts are one of the richest edible seeds and are a good source of fats, B-complex vitamins, vitamin E, a diversity of minerals, and offer a whopping 35% protein.
Crunchy Bean Mix
A hearty mix of lentils, chickpeas, and sugar-snap peas. These beans are sweet and hold their form fresh or lightly steamed. They are excellent in soups, chilies, salads, spreads, and many pan-Asian entrées. A rich source of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. Bean mix also offers an array of important phytonutrients and minerals.
Sandwich Blend
These classic, versatile sprouts are among the healthiest for you. A dynamic mix of alfalfa, red clover, daikon radish and fenugreek. They bulk up and enliven any wrap or sandwich with texture and succulence and are delicious in smoothies and sprout loaves. This anti-inflamatory blend is high in calcium and magnesium and is one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can eat.
Broccoli/Brassica Blend
Reputedly the most healthy and flavorful sprout combination on the market – broccoli, red clover and daikon radish. Brassica sprouts have high concentrations of the cancer fighting compound, sulforaphane. This spicy blend adds vibrancy to wraps, sandwiches and is a wonderful addition to salads and green drinks.
Mung Beans
Sweet and refreshing flavor. High in protein, rich in Vitamin C, Iron and Potassium. Helps balance pH levels in the body due to its alkalinity. Use in salads, stir-fry, soups, sprout loaves, green drinks or as a snack.
Ancient Eastern Blend
A nutty addition to salads or rice and noodle dishes. Fenugreek acts as a digestive aid, kidney tonic, & hormone balancer. Contains Iron, Niacin and Calcium.
Mushrooms
Shiitake Mushrooms
Shiitake is widely regarded as the tastiest, healthiest, and most popular cultivated mushroom. Grown on BC red alder our mushrooms are produced in small, intensively managed batches to maximize moisture content, nutritional value, and flavour. The rich, earthy flavor and dense texture makes shiitake a versatile addition to all healthy diets. From stir fries and chilies to curries they are a wonderful source of protein with a satisfying meaty texture. They also contribute anti-oxidants, vitamins B, C, and D, help balance blood sugar levels, and boost the immune system considerably!
Oyster Mushrooms
Grown on BC red alder, our oyster mushrooms are both aesthetically pleasing and rich in nutrients. They are replete with assorted vitamins (C, B, and niacin), free amino acids, and, like shiitake, contain substantial amounts of protein. Marinated and pan-fried oyster mushrooms offer a ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ silky and buttery succulence. They readily adopt the flavour of sauces and marinades and are particularly delightful when paired with eggs.
